Kearney, Neb. - A trio of sophomores helped the 4th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team sweep Hastings College Tuesday night at the Health & Sports Center.
The start of "Homecoming Week" at UNK, a crowd of 1,563 watched as the Lopers improve to 13-0 by taking all three sets from the Broncos (
-12, -19, -12) with relative ease.

Ashley Leitner (Lincoln SW) was named the AVCA Division II Player of the Week.
For the sixth straight match, Leitner reached double digits in kills as she recorded 16 in 28 swings with just four errors (.429 attack pct.). She also dug up 13 balls, making this her second double double in the last three matches.
In the middle, sophomore
Haley Lake (Lincoln SE) had 10 kills in 18 attempts (.444 attack pct.) while also providing two digs and a block. Next to her, sophomore
Katie Sokolowski had a team-high four blocks, six digs, eight kills and a .333 hitting efficiency.
Among non-sophomores, true freshman outside
Liz McGowan (GI Central Catholic) had two blocks, five kills and 12 digs and junior setter
Jenna Rouzee (GI Northwest) provided 41 assists, seven digs, two blocks and two kills.
Overall, UNK out hit the Broncos, .284 to .027, and dug up 21 more balls, 61-40.
Hastings (10-9) was paced by Kendra Schwein (team-high eight kills) and Shayna Schocker (five kills, four blocks, three digs).
Kearney is at Colorado Mines and Colo.-Colo. Springs this weekend.
