Box Score Kearney, Neb. – The 4th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney used a balanced attack and several runs to sweep Central Oklahoma (-11, -18, -16) Friday night at the Health & Sports Center.
UNK (25-2, 11-1) has now won seven in a row, each in three sets. Losing to the Lopers for the second time this fall, the Bronchos drop to 11-13 (6-7).
The match featured 21 ties and 11 lead changes as UCO, thanks to 10.5 team blocks, hung around in each set.
Kearney used a 15-2 run in the first set to break a six all tie. Freshman right side

Ashley Leitner (Lincoln SW) serving seven straight times.
The spurt included three blocks by the pair of junior
Ellie Pesavento (Omaha Marian) and senior setter
Jenna Rouzee (Grand Island SW). UCO also committed four unforced errors.
Set two was tighter as the Bronchos moved ahead 16-14 on kill by Morgan Roy. After a Loper timeout, a Pesavento kill started an 8-1 run.
Finally, UNK went on an 11-6 run in the third set to break another six all tie. This time, Leitner supplied four kills and senior outside
Ariel Krolikowski (Grand Island) added three.
On the night, the Lopers recorded an impressive 53 kills on 129 swings (.271 attack pct.) while digging up 70 balls.

Liz McGowan (GI Central Catholic) each having 16 digs. And, Rouzee had an all-around effort with 38 assists, eight kills, four blocks and a team-high .462 attack percentage.
UCO was paced by Roy (seven kills and five blocks) and Juliette Smith (seven blocks and four kills).
Pittsburg State visits Saturday at four.
