Box Score Kearney, Neb. – Northern State got a double double from junior post Sarah Hintz and the Wolves used a late first half run to beat Nebraska-Kearney, 69-58, Friday afternoon in St. Paul, Minn.
The game was a part of the Radisson Roseville Thanksgiving Classic.
UNK (2-3) shot 52% in the first half to grab a 21-17 lead by the six minute mark. However, Northern (3-0) responded with an 18-6 run to go up by eight at the break, 35-27, and led the entire second half.
The key spurt was started by Hintz, who finished with 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Northern tallied 17 of its points off 19 Loper turnovers and shot an even 50% for the game. The Wolves did struggle at the line (14 of 29) but had plus four rebounding margin and had 11 different players get into the scoring column
Kearney got 13 points, six rebounds and four assists from junior wing 
Shelby Zimmerman (Beatrice) and eight points and three dimes from junior guard 
Sarah Hix (Broomfield, Colo.)
