Box Score 3 Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney softball team went 3-1 at the RMAC/NSIC Crossover Tournament in Pueblo, Colo., this weekend, beating Concordia-St. Paul and Black Hills State Saturday afternoon.
The Lopers (3-3) beat Winona State on Friday and followed that up by defeating the CU Golden Bears,
6-3, and the Division II-newcomer BHSU Hornets,
16-1 in 5 innings, the next day. On Sunday, UNK fell to 13th-ranked Minnesota State (2-3) by
10-1 score.
Against Concordia (3-2), McCook senior
Kirstie Hiatt threw a complete game nine-hitter. She fanned seven and walked just one as UNK scored two in the fourth and three in the top of the seventh to win.

Austin Wilson (1 for 2, two RBI's) led off with a walk and moved to second on a bunt single by freshman SS
Mallory Noakes (Lincoln SW). Senior 2b
Ali Seberger (2 for 3, three RBI's) then promptly untied the game with a homer over the left field fence.
Against a Hornets team that will be in the RMAC this year, and one that was outscored 60-9 this weekend, UNK pounded out 13 hits and also took advantage of four walks and two errors.

Dani Mowinkel (Scribner) had a game to remember as she went 3 for 3 with six RBI's and two runs scored from the nine hole. Sophomore catcher
Jen Kramer (North Platte) also had a big day at the plate as she went 3 for 4 with three runs and two RBI's.
On the mound, Papillion junior
Becky Dunn and Grand Island freshman
Taryn Trosper combined to allow just three hits, and fan four, in five full innings.
Scoring six in the first and seven more in the fourth, UNK saw Mowinkel hit a three-run homer in the third and then add a two-run double an inning later.
The tables were turned on the Lopers on Sunday as the Mavs used the big inning to claim victory. MSU, finishing with 13 hits, crossed home four times in the third and four times in the seventh to win by nine.
The five through seven hitters for Mankato did the most damage, combining to go 5 for 12 with five RBI's and two runs scored. For UNK, the first six hitters tallied one hit a piece, including an RBI single by Kramer.
The Lopers start RMAC play next weekend at Regis.
