Box Score Kearney, Neb. – The top-ranked Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team had little trouble in its first MIAA match, allowing just 35 points in a sweep of Fort Hays State (-7, -12, -16) Tuesday night in Kansas.
This was UNK's (8-0, 1-0) first visit to Gross Memorial Coliseum in five years. Kearney has now won 13 straight over the Tigers (6-4, 0-1) to lead the all-time series 77-9.
Hitting a season-best .375, the Lopers recorded 22 more kills than Hays, 43-21, while committing just seven attack errors. UNK also served up five aces with the Tigers having two service errors.
Individually, senior outside
Ariel Krolikowski (Grand Island) had the hottest hand, having a team-high 15 kills in 30 swings (.433 attack pct.). Four others were between four and seven kills, including freshman right side
MJ Massanet (Manhattan, Kans.).

Katie Sokolowski (Kearney Catholic) providing five blocks at the net.
