Kearney, Neb. – The Northern State Wolves won eight events to swim past Nebraska-Kearney,
126-79, Friday night in Aberdeen, S.D.
In a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) dual, the Wolves improve to 5-0 while UNK falls to 4-1.
NSU, hosting a meet for the final time the 2013-14 season, saw Sam Gunning (100 fly and 200 IM) win two events and Kate Rhodes (100 back, 200 and 500 free) three.
The Wolves also took both relays, turning in a 4:11.79 (400 medley) to start the night and a 3:45.86 (400 free) to end the meet.
Oklahoma junior
Shelby Laramore easily won the 500 free, swimming an 11:30.41 to come in 17 seconds ahead of the runner up. Next, Kansas senior
Cassie Bonds won the 50 free (25.57) with Tekamah sophomore
Skylar Tatreau taking gold in the 100 free (56.05).
Finally, Laramore (500 free/5:38.91) and Tatreau (200 IM/2:16.87) were second in two other events.
UNK is off next weekend before heading to Omaha for the annual Mutual of Omaha Invite the first weekend in December. Â
