Eat, Support A Great Cause, & Watch The UNK Lopers

Box Score KEARNEY, Neb., Monday, February 25, 2013 — The annual American Red Cross Soup and Chili bowl will be this Wednesday, February 27th at the University of Nebraska-Kearney.  People can warm-up with a hot bowl of chili or soup while cheering on the Lopers, as the men and women's basketball team battles Northwest Missouri State during a doubleheader. The Red Cross Soup and Chili Bowl will begin at 5 pm in the West Auxiliary Gym.
 
Admission to the event is $5.00 in advance and $7.00 at the door.  Tickets are available now at the Red Cross office, or with participating sponsors. Those who attend the Soup and Chili Bowl will be admitted to the basketball games FREE of admission, the women tip-off at 5:30 pm followed by the men at 7:30 pm.
 
Contestants will put their soup or chili up against one another to be deemed best in Kearney.  There are four areas that chili chefs could win a prize: spicy chili, traditional, best soup and best presentation.  Guest will determine the winners for each category. There will also be a chance for fans to buy raffle tickets to WIN great prizes!!
