Box Score 2 Kearney, Neb. – Senior Kristen Felker threw a complete game five-hitter and sophomore Kendall Ryndak tossed 5.1 scoreless innings to help Lindenwood sweep a double header from Nebraska-Kearney, 7-1 and 1-0, Friday afternoon in St. Charles, Mo.
With the wins, the Lions improve to 11-15 (4-6) while the Lopers fall to 6-18 (1-7).
Earning her third victory of the season, Felker walked four and fanned three. The Indiana State transfer gave up an RBI double to junior catcher
Jen Kramer (2 for 3) in the third but then blanked the Lopers the rest of the way.
Pounding out 13 hits, the Lions scored a run in the first, two more in the third and three in the fourth to grab a five-run lead.
Leadoff hitter Courtney Kitson went 3 for 4 with two runs and two RBI's, catcher Alex Newcomb went 3 for 3 from the third spot in the lineup and Ryndak was 2 for 4 with two RBI's as the designated player.
In the second game, Ryndak (4-6) struck out seven and walked just one. Freshman Morgan Clovis then earned her first collegiate save by throwing 1.2 innings of scoreless relief.
The only run came in the bottom of the third as second baseman Alyssa Esperum led off with a single and came home on a one-out triple by Kitson.
