KEARNEY, NEBRASKA – September 13, 2013 – UNK Volleyball returns home from the Colorado Premier Challenge to host the Tigers of Fort Hays State on Tuesday, September 17th. The first serve begins at 7:00 PM and Loper fans are encouraged to wear their white.

The Lopers open conference play against the Tigers and are looking to defend their MIAA title. Last season, the Lopers began their first year in the MIAA and going 16-1 in conference play. The Lopers have won their last 15 games at home and look to continue their streak against Fort Hays State.

Seniors Ashley Leitner, Ellie Pesavento and Katie Sokolowski lead a team that swept the Tigers in their previous meeting. The Lopers lead the all-time series 78-9.

The three seniors combine for over half of the teams total kills and Pesavento leads the team with an attack percentage of .415.
