Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's swimming team earned its fifth dual win of the season, beating the College of St. Mary, 138-67, Saturday evening in the Cushing Pool.

This was UNK's only home event this season.

At one of the two intermissions, seniors Cassie Bonds (Wichita), Jamie Jenkinson (Kansas City) and Jayne McGovern (Grand Island) were honored. Each has been a part of the Kearney program the past four years.

The Aqualopers won nine of the 11 events with Bonds placing first in both the 50 free (26.36) and 50 fly (28.25). She also swam the third leg for the winning 400 medley relay team (4:19.62).

Also finishing first in two events was junior Rebecca Tidwell (Emporia, Kans.). She swam the 200 free in 2:12.23 to win by over eight seconds while turning in a 58.47 in the 100 free. That time was seven seconds better than the runner up.
