The top scorer in the MIAA at 23.5 per game, six-foot senior guard Bryton Hobbs went for 27 thanks to a 15 of 18 effort at the line. As a team, NSU made 26 of 34 free throws (76.5%) with three Loper starters having four or more fouls.

Hobbs made five shots from the field, including two threes, and handed out 10 assists. The 'Hawks sunk eight triples and scored 16 points off 12 Loper turnovers to overcome a minus eight rebounding margin.

Besides Hobbs, 6-1 junior guard Dalen Qualls had 18 points (4 of 6 threes), 6-1 junior guard Keon Littleton added 11 points, three steals and three boards with 6-7 junior post Curtis Evans having eight defensive boards, three blocks and 12 points.

Scoring 20 or more points for the third time this season, Pearson reached his total by going 8 of 16 (3 of 8 threes) from the floor. He also had four assists and two steals.
