Box Score Kearney, Neb. – The Central Oklahoma men's basketball team made 13 three pointers and sunk 25 free throws to outscore Nebraska-Kearney, 96-82, Saturday afternoon in Edmond.

The Bronchos improve to 11-5 (5-4) while the Lopers slip to 5-10 (2-7).

UNK actually out shot UCO, 56.0% to 55.8%, but trailed for the last 31 minutes. UCO made eight more triples than the Lopers as well as four more free throws.
 
Having five score in double figures. UCO went on a 10-0 run midway through the first half to grab the lead for good. This stretch featured two threes by senior forward Josh Gibbs (6-5, 235 lbs.) and a trey by 6-7 sophomore Cal Andrews.
 
The run gave UCO a 22-15 lead and UNK didn't get the deficit under three points the rest of the way.
 
Broncho sophomore Aaron Anderson, averaging 12 points per game on the season, erupted for 28 thanks to an 8 of 13 effort (3 of 5 threes) from the field. Also making nine free throws, the 6-3 guard had a team-high six assists as well.
 
Andrews scored 16 by going 3 of 6 from the three point line with 6-0 freshman guard Jacob Richardson coming off the bench to score 15 on 3 of 5 three point shooting. Finally, Gibbs (10) was held 12 points below his season average.
 
Norfolk sophomore post Ethan Brozek paced the Lopers, having 13 of his team-high 18 points in the second half. Fouling out in 20 minutes, he was 6 of 7 at the line and 6 of 9 from the field.
 
Junior guard Davion Pearson (Las Vegas, Nev.) had 13 of his 17 points after the break with Benkelman senior post Kendal Glidden having all nine of his points in the first half. Finally, senior post Mike Dentlinger went 7 of 8 from the field to finish with 16. He also had a team-best six rebounds.
 
Besides Brozek, four other Lopers had four or more fouls. UNK was out rebounded by one, 26-25, and had one more turnover, 13-12.
 
Kearney is at Pitt State Wednesday and hosts South Dakota Mines next Friday.
