Aqualopers Close Out the Regular Season

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks won nine events to swim past Nebraska-Kearney, 141-109, Saturday afternoon in Omaha.

This was "Senior Day" for the Division I Mavs and their regular season finale. UNK finishes the 2013-14 dual season with a 5-2 record.

Tekamah sophomore Skylar Tatreau picked up nine team points and the Aqualopers' first win by swimming a 2:18.49 in the 200 backstroke.

Coming in nearly four seconds faster than the runner up, Tatreau's effort not only is a UNK season best time but also ranks third on the program's all-time Top 10 list.

She also swam the opening leg for the winning 200 free relay team (1:44.34) and anchor for the third place 200 medley squad (1:57.74).

Also winning were Oklahoma junior Shelby Laramore (500 free/5:49.32), Arizona junior Kayleigh Jones (200 IM/2:32.98) and Kansas sophomore Zhu Zhu Lundin Daniels (100 fly/1:04.20).
