Kearney, Neb . – After a Holiday layoff, the Nebraska Kearney men's basketball is back on the courts Monday night when the Doane College Tigers visit the Health & Sports Center.

Doane (4-6, 1-3 GPAC) has road games at No. 20 Tabor College of Kansas on Friday and a tilt with McPherson College (Kans.) on Saturday. Most recently, the Tigers fell to 2nd-ranked Midland, 72-55, in Crete.
Head coach Jim Weeks, through nine games, has a squad averaging just over 70 points per game. Making about 17 free throws a night, Doane is led by junior guard Deonte Holt. The Lincoln North Star graduate is averaging 17.0 points per game thanks to 22 made threes and 45 made free throws.
Next, 6-7 sophomore Nate Kuhl averages 11.1 points and 5.9 rebounds a night. He is shooting 57% from the field and 76% at the line.
UNK has played just twice in 2014-15, getting solid production from its freshmen class in both contests.
York native
Ty Danielson has made 7 of 11 three pointers and cracked the starting lineup last Friday at Chadron State. Also in the win over the Eagles, Pierce native
Lane Rohrich came off the bench and went 3 of 4 from the arc. Finally in the backcourt,
Isaiah McKay (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) is shooting 50% from the field with three long range makes.
Up front,
Trey Lansman (Harlan, Ia.) is at 8.5 points and 3.5 rebounds through two games. In the 2nd half at Chadron, he scored all eight of his points as part of a 17-0 Kearney run. Lansman also has three of UNK's six blocks.
Next week, Missouri Southern State (Thursday night) and SW Baptist (Saturday afternoon) come to Kearney to start MIAA play.
