Box Score Kearney, Neb. – Sophomore Samantha Liebmann scored three runs and had two RBI's to help Nebraska-Kearney beat Concordia-St. Paul, 7-2, Saturday night in the Husky Dome in St. Cloud, Minn.

The game was part of the Kelly Laas Memorial Invite. With the win, UNK (2-7) stops a seven-game losing streak while the Golden Bears fall to 0-3.

Taking advantage of four Concordia errors as well as a wild pitch and passed ball, the Lopers scored two in the second, three in third and tacked on single runs in the fifth and sixth innings.

Iowa senior Brittnie Kreiser (1-2) was the beneficiary of all this run support. She went the distance, allowing only one earned run while fanning three and walking one.

Concordia did record 12 hits but 10 were singles and 10 Golden Bears were left stranded.

Liebmann (Valencia, Calif.), playing third base, did a lot of damage from the seven hole. She hit a solo homer in the second, had an RBI single in the third and reached via error in the fifth.

One sport behind her, freshman left fielder Amanda Dunn (Lincoln SW) had a two run double down the right field line in the third. Finally, North Platte senior catcher Jen Kramer went 2 for 4 from the fifth spot in the lineup.

UNK plays tourney host St. Cloud State (1-1) Sunday at 9:00 a.m. to finish a four-game weekend.
