Never trailing, the Lopers went 5 of 10 from the three point line in the first half to open up a 38-21 halftime lead. Most of the perimeter damage came from senior point guard
Nicole Arp (Kearney H.S.), who tallied 11 of her 13 in this half on 3 of 4 triple shooting.

Meanwhile, the 'Bods couldn't buy a bucket, going 6 of 19 (1 of 10 threes), while also committing 15 turnovers.

Washburn warmed up slightly in the second half but greatly cut down on the turnovers to claw back into the game. They also held UNK to just three points over the first 10 minutes.

A three from Zimmerman (Beatrice) made it 44-35 with 9:56 to play. The 'Bods got within five about three minutes later but Zimmerman hit another long distance shot to swing the momentum back to Kearney's side. Williams (St. Louis) then went to work, hitting three straight buckets to push the lead back to double digits, 57-47.

Having its highest field goal percentage (43.9%) since December 14th, UNK finished 8 of 14 from down town and tallied 17 points off 19 Washburn turnovers.

Williams scored a team-best 21 on 10 of 18 shooting. She also had eight rebounds (five defensive) and worked around three second half fouls.

Zimmerman had 15 and nine (eight defensive) thanks to 6 of 13 (3 of 3 threes) shooting. Besides her offense, Arp had six assists, four boards and three steals.

Washburn got a double double from Elkhorn grad Brittney Lynch (16 & 13) with reserve post Honor Duvall at 10 points in 16 minutes.
