Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney baseball and softball teams wrap-up their regular season schedule this weekend with "Bark in the Park" at Memorial Field on Saturday.
The Loper baseball team starts a four-game series on Thursday, April 24th, against the Lions of Missouri Southern State at 6:00 p.m. A double header on Friday begins at 3:00 p.m. with a single game set for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The series finale is also "Senior Day" for UNK baseball.
Friday is our "Facebook Friday" promotion. Any fan that visits "UNK Athletics" on Facebook and prints off the voucher receives a discounted $ 3.00 ticket for baseball.
Saturday is "Bark in the Park" at Memorial Field and fans are welcome to bring their dogs to the park. Fans that bring their dog, or a charitable animal food item, will receive a discounted
$ 1.00 ticket.
All animal food items received at the gate will support the local Kearney Animal Shelter. The Kearney Animal Shelter will be in attendance with information and treats, as well as dogs they currently have for adoption, from 1-3:30 p.m.
Finally, Loper softball will host "Senior Day" against Fort Hays State on Sunday, April 27th at Dryden Park. The doubleheader starts at high noon. Being a City Park, dogs are welcomed at Dryden.
