Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney basketball teams have a rare Sunday game when they play at Emporia State on February 1st.

The Loper men (13-5, 8-3) are riding a five-game win streak that has moved them into a first place tie with three other teams. The Hornets, meanwhile, have lost four straight and six of seven to be 9-11 (2-9).

Coming into the week, the Hornets were among the MIAA's top defensive teams (66.6 per game) but rank 12th in scoring (67.9) and have a -2.3 rebounding margin.
