Box Score Kearney, Neb. – The 11th-ranked Central Oklahoma Bronchos scored the final two points to beat Nebraska-Kearney in five sets (25-27, -15, 19-25, -22, -13) Saturday night in Edmond.
By winning the final two sets, UCO improves to 21-1 (9-0) while the 12th-ranked Lopers fall to 17-5 (7-3).
In a match with 19 ties and seven lead changes, UNK had leads of 9-3, 11-7 and 13-10 in the fifth set. The 'Chos tied things up at 13 after a kill by senior outside Barbara Jackson and then moved ahead for good after an unforced Loper error. Another Kearney miscue gave the set and match to UCO.
On the night, UNK hit .186 (63-30-177) with UCO coming in at a .227 (57-23-150). The Lopers had 10.5 team blocks with the 'Chos at 10.0; both teams dug up 67 balls with Kearney being plus three in the service game.
Jackson had 12 kills and nine digs with teammate Jordan Spencer providing 14 kills and four blocks. Also, junior Allison Barr was at 11 kills, six blocks and a .409 attack percentage.
