Kaitlynn Thomas had 19 kills to help 16th-ranked Nebraska-Kearney beat Lindenwood in four sets (-16, -14, 20-25, -14) Friday night in St. Charles, Mo.
The Lopers improve to 13-3 (3-1) while the Lions drop to 8-5 (1-2).
UNK had just eight more kills than LWU, 51-43, but also committed 18 fewer errors. That led to a .320 (51-10-128) efficiency, the fifth time this fall Kearney reached the .300 mark.
Thomas (Yutan) did most of her damage over the first two sets, registering 12 of her kills. The Ashland-Greenwood High graduate reached her kill total in 41 swings with only three errors (.390). She now has had 17 or more kills five times this fall, including in three of the last four matches.

Annie Wolfe (Omaha Marian H.S.) had 10 kills and zero errors in 19 attempts, good for a .526 percentage. In the middle, junior
Bailey Sokolowski (Kearney Catholic H.S.) and sophomore
Tara Ziegelbein (Lincoln Lutheran H.S.) combined for 13 kills and a .303 attack percentage.
The Lopers helped Lindenwood hit .106 as they had eight team blocks. Sokolowski had a team-high four, including two solo stuffs, with Wolfe and Ziegelbein each at three. Finally, junior outside
Skyler Erickson (Greeley) had 13 digs, seven kills and all three of UNK's aces.
Lindenwood was led by Kayla Guyot's six kills, two aces and a .500 hitting efficiency.
UNK is at No. 13 Central Missouri Saturday night.
