Laramey Becker
Box Score Kearney, Neb. – The Washburn University women's basketball team used its size advantage to score 42 points in the paint and beat Nebraska-Kearney, 63-57, Saturday at the Health & Sports Center.

The Ichabods are now 5-3 (1-1) with the Lopers falling to 4-4 (0-2).

With the majority of Washburn's 27 made field goals coming inside, UNK used seven three pointers and 10 of 10 free throw shooting to erase an early deficit and lead 30-28 at the half.
