Box Score Kearney – Senior guard Taylor Ignoto scored 25 points and senior post Honor Duvall had a double double to help Washburn beat Nebraska Kearney, 84-67, Saturday night at the Health & Sports Center.
The Ichabods improve to 15-7 (7-7) and sweep the season series from the Lopers (11-12, 5-9).
One of Washburn's top players, Ignoto was 2 of 12 (0 of 7 threes) from the field in the Ichabods 68-61 OT win over UNK on January 29
th. Those numbers dramatically improved tonight as she had 18 points, on 6 of 9 shooting, by the break.
The game was a back and forth affair for 12 minutes with an Ignoto three breaking a 20 all tie at the 7:05 mark and sending Washburn on its way. They finished the half on a 19-7 run and then built a 20-point cushion three minutes into the second half.
UNK, going 24 of 31 at the line, didn't go away, chipping away at the deficit and getting it to nine points, 61-52, after a triple from Arizona sophomore
Alexa Hogberg. However, Ignoto followed with one of her four triples to start a 12-4 Washburn spurt.
The 'Bods shot 61% (19 of 31) in the second half to be at 53% for the game. They also had a plus 11 rebounding margin, 41-30, and tallied 17 points off of 11 Kearney turnovers.
Ignoto ended 8 of 11 (4 of 6 threes) from the field and 5 of 5 at the line with Duvall having a big second half to finish with 18 points, 11 rebounds (eight defensive), three assists and two steals.Off the bench, Janelle Travis sunk three triples to tally 15.

Laramey Lewis went the distance and had team-highs in points (25), rebounds (six) and threes made (four). She added two assists and two steals for good measure.
The Lopers, who shot 33% from the floor, got a productive night from its bench as Idaho senior Mariam Ridgewell had nine points and four boards (three offensive) with Nevada sophomore
Tori Payne going 5 of 6 at the line to score eight.
UNK's next three games come against nationally-ranked squads in Pitt State (Feb. 12th), Emporia State (Feb. 19th) and Fort Hays State (Feb. 21st).
