Box Score 2 Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney baseball team had 45 hits and scored in 13 of 14 innings to sweep a double header from Lincoln, 21-6 and 25-2 (7 innings), Sunday afternoon.
The Lopers (21-10, 15-5) have won seven straight while the Blue Tigers fall to 1-23 (1-15).
On a day where the wind was blowing stiffly to right, the two teams combined for 11 homers with the weather wreaking havoc on more than a few fly balls.
After having nine homers to score 33 runs on Saturday, the Lopers had three more in today's first game and five in the nightcap. UNK finished the four-game series with a .503 team batting average, 17 doubles, 17 HR's and 79 runs.

Max Ayoub (2 for 4, three runs & six RBI's) went deep twice in the first game with junior SS
Shane Sharkey (5 for 6, four runs & three RBI's) and senior CF
Brandon Landanger (2 for 3, three runs & three RBI's) hitting back-to-back homers in the first and third innings of the nightcap.
Eight different Kearney players had multi-RBI efforts in the nightcap with three Lopers have three RBI's a piece in game one.
On the mound, senior southpaw
Aaron Smith (Cheyenne, Wyo.) improved to 5-0 by striking out three and walking none in four innings of game one. Giving up five hits, he only allowed two earned runs because of a wind-aided homer to right.
In the nightcap, junior
Chris Sievers (Loveland, Colo.) no-hit the Blue Tigers for 3.1 innings and finished with six K's in four full innings of work. He is now 3-1 on the spring with a team-low 1.57 ERA
Due to the Easter Holiday, UNK hosts Emporia State this Thursday-Saturday at Memorial Field.
