Box Score 2 Kearney, Neb. – Four different players had multi-RBI efforts and junior
Cassie Roessing went the distance to help Nebraska-Kearney beat NW Missouri State, 11-8, in game one of a double header Friday afternoon at Dryden Park.
The Bearcats (15-17, 8-6) used a seven-run seventh inning to take the night cap, 10-1.
UNK (11-22, 9-9) started the day strong as they crossed home plate four times in the bottom of the first in game one. The big inning featured a two-run single by junior 3b
Makenzi Dallas (2 for 4), who was just coming off the DL.
However, Northwest scored three in the third and three more over the fifth and sixth innings to grab an 8-5 lead. While the 'Cats had 10 hits and drew four walks, they also took advantage of five UNK errors.
The Lopers responded by exploding for seven hits in a six-run sixth to drive starter Sarah Baldwin (5.2 IP, eight hits, nine runs, seven earned) from the game.
Dallas (Phoenix, Ariz.) started the rally with a one-out single to center and, after another out, nine hole hitter

Erin Dwyer (Elmwood) had a two-run double and then UNK took advantage of a passed ball and throwing error to score two more. Fanning three, Roessing picked up her 10th win by allowing four earned.
Northwest took the second game thanks to a 15-hit attack with seven of those base knocks coming in the top of the seventh. The first three 'Cats in the lineup were a combined 7 for 14 with two runs and two RBI's.
Roessing (Phoenix, Ariz.) took the loss, allowing three earned in four full innings. She didn't walk or strikeout a batter in this game and threw 198 pitches on the day.
Kendle Schieber (5-5) went the distance for Northwest, allowing no earned runs on five hits and one walk. From the eight hole, UNK sophomore 2b
Emilee Jonas (Omaha Skutt H.S.) went 2 for 3.
