Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's swimming & diving team fell to Morningside College, 135-62, and Iowa Central C.C., 125-68, Friday night in Sioux City, Ia.
The duals were part of the
Morningside Triangular. The host Mustangs swam past the Tritons, 106-98, in the other scored portion of the meet.
Missouri freshman
Becca Shaw paced UNK as she was second in the 200 free (2:06.95) and swam anchor on the 400 medley (4:26.07) and 400 free (4:01.79) relay teams that finished runners up.
Next, Florida freshman
Jordan Ray was a member of the 400 free team and finished third in the 1,000 free (11:50.96).
Also coming in third were Minnesota freshman Alyssa Hoffman (100 free/1:01.35) and Scottsbluff freshman
Anna Yanke (100 breaststroke/1:15.48). Finally, Yanke swam the second leg for the 400 medley team with Hoffman swimming lead on the 400 free squad.
UNK stays in Sioux City for the Morningside Invite Saturday.
