Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team is the top seed in the 2016 MIAA Tournament and will host Emporia State Tuesday night in the Health & Sports Center.

The top four seeds in the eight-team event host matches on campus sites Tuesday. After Tuesday's action, the highest remaining seeds host the semifinals and finals on Nov. 18-19. All tickets are general admission ($5.00) with those six & under getting in for free.

Earlier this fall, UNK (32-1) swept the Hornets (15-17) in Kearney (-25, -12, -7). It was the same result when the two met in Kansas (-22, -16, -12).

Kearney won the MIAA tourney in 2012 and were runners up in 2013.
