Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney Athletic Department will hold Rural/Work Day this Saturday, February 20th, when the Loper basketball team hosts Lindenwood University.
The games against the Lions are set to begin at 2:00 p.m. (women) and 4:00 p.m. (men). These are the final regular season home games for UNK this season.
Farmers, field and factory workers can redeem the above voucher for two free G.A. tickets, as well as receive $ 2.00 off any additional tickets. Just bring the voucher to receive the tickets.
The UNK women (13-12, 9-10) are currently in a two-way tie for eighth place in the MIAA standings. At the end of the regular season, teams five through eight host an MIAA Tournament first round game on Monday, February 29th.
On the men's side, the Lopers are 16-9 (12-7) in sole possession of second place. The top four teams receive a first round bye in the MIAA tourney and automatically advance to Kansas City the weekend of March 4-6.
