Box Score 2 Kearney, Neb. – Senior right hander Kayce Woolridge threw back-to-back complete games to help Northeastern State sweep a double header from Nebraska-Kearney, 9-0 (5 innings) and 6-1, Saturday afternoon in Tahlequah, Okla.
Now an impressive 15-5 on the season, Wooldridge picked up career wins 53 and 54 by allowing eight hits over 12 innings. She fanned four Lopers, walked just two and hit two. On the day, she threw 154 pitches, 96 for strikes.
In game one, the RiverHawks scored three in the first and five in the fourth to give Woolridge all the support she needed. From the fifth and sixth spots in the lineup, third baseman Haley Acrey and catcher Kyla Ibarra were a combined 4 for 4 with two runs and six RBI's.
NSU (20-15, 8-6) busted open a 1-0 game in the nightcap by scoring three runs in the fifth and two more in the sixth. Acrey (3 for 4) and left fielder Megan Ewton (3 for 4, two runs) led at the plate.
