Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Kearney, Neb. - The Augustana Vikings to a strong pitching performance in game one and scored five runs in the second inning of the night cap to take a double header from Nebraska-Kearney, 4-1 and 12-2 (6 innings), Saturday in St. Cloud, Minn.

The games were held inside the Husky Dome and part of the annual Kelly Laas Memorial Invite.

Augie (5-4) saw junior Lexy Pederson strike out six and allow no earned runs over six full innings in game one. Freshman Olivia Wolters then came in and threw a scoreless seventh to pick up her second save of the year.

Already up 1-0, the Vikings got a two-run double from third baseman Christina Pickett in the third. UNK (0-8) used two hits and two Augie errors to get on the board in the sixth but two runners were left stranded.

Colorado junior Meg Housholder went the distance, allowing four earned on six hits and four walks. She fanned three and went 1 for 3 at the plate.

In the second game, Augie scored five in the second, two in the third and three more times in the sixth. They finished with nine hits and took advantage of seven walks and two Loper errors.

Shortstop Sarah Kennedy (2 for 3, two runs & three RBI's) paced the offense with first baseman Kaylea Schorr having a two-run single in the second. Wolters allowed on earned runs over the first three innings to even her season mark at 2-2.

For UNK, Missouri freshman Mallory Stoner allowed no earned runs in 3.1 innings of relief work with Ralton senior left fielder Taylre Keenan going 2 for 3 with a run and RBI.

The Lopers finish up the tourney Sunday with games against Minnesota State and Upper Iowa.
