Box Score 4 Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney softball team dropped all four games it played this past weekend at the annual Teri Mathis-Zenner Memorial Tournament in Joplin, Mo.
On Saturday, the Lopers fell to Drury (Mo.), 12-1, and Maryville (Mo.), 11-1. On day two, Upper Iowa rallied late for a 9-4 win while McKendree (Ill.) came out on top, 13-2.
Freshman catcher
Alexis Howe (Papillion-LaVista) paced the Lopers as she batted .636 (7 for 11) in the tournament with two RBI's and a run scored. She also was perfect in 17 fielding chances. Next, Ralston senior left fielder
Taylre Keenan batted .429 (3 for 7) and Arizona senior second baseman
Molly Stern came in at .333 with a homer and three RBI's.
UNK begins MIAA play March 10-11 against Central Oklahoma (9-3) and Northeastern State (7-10).
