Coyotes Remain Unbeaten; Arkansas in Two Weeks

Kearney, Neb. – The Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes took advantage of four walks to score eight runs in the second inning and went on to beat Nebraska-Kearney, 9-1 (5 innings), Sunday afternoon in Las Vegas, Nev.

This was the final game for the Lopers (1-4) at the ninth annual Desert Stinger Classic, hosted by Montana State-Billings.

CSUSB (5-0) managed only six hits off of two UNK hurlers but crossed home plate eight times in the second. Besides the base on balls, junior right fielder/catcher Dominique Walker had a two-run single up the middle in the big inning.

In the circle, junior Amanda Ramirez (3-0) fanned four and didn't walk a Loper to earn the win. She blanked UNK over the first four innings before seeing an unearned run score in the fifth.

For UNK, redshirt freshman right fielder Alexa Sidoti (Olathe, Kan.) went 1 for 2 with a run scored.

Kearney gets next weekend off before heading to Arkansas for the annual 8-State Classic February 16-18.
