Kearney, Neb. – The now fifth-ranked Nebraska-Kearney volleyball team plays at home for the first time this 2018 season with the annual Rosella Meier Fall Classic presented by Runza and New Victorian Inn & Suites.

On both Friday and Saturday, matches are slated to start at 10 a.m., 12, 2, 4 and 6 p.m. UNK (4-0) will play each day 12 and 6; check the Lopers schedule page for that day's opponent and media links. An all-tournament team will be announced on Monday, September 3.

UNK went 4-0 at last weekend's "Cougar Classic" in Southern California. Kearney used a balanced attack as five different players recorded at least 20 kills with seven Lopers having at least 35 attack attempts. Overall, UNK comes into the weekend hitting .232 and averaging 13 kills per set.

Defensively, the backrow has managed to dig up 17 balls per set and record 1.8 blocks at the net. In the serve game, UNK has tallied 34 aces, more than double its serve receive error total.

Kearney heads back out on the road next weekend to take part in the "Vulcan Invitational" in Western Pennsylvania.
