Vegas Keeper Comes Aboard

Kearney, Neb. – Nebraska-Kearney head women's soccer coach Chloe Roberts announced today that Las Vegas native Eden Miura will play for the Lopers next season.

The 5-4 goal keeper becomes the 14th member of the 2019 recruiting class. Thirteen came aboard back in November; UNK had nine seniors on its 19-player 2018 roster.

Miura will be the third keeper on the 2019 roster, joining seniors Allie Prososki (Kearney Catholic) and Emily Thuss (Raymore, Mo.).

"Eden is a talented, athletic goalkeeper with huge potential. She is an excellent shot stopper with a lot of experience. She provides us great depth in the keeper position," said Roberts.

Playing two years at Bishop Gorman, one of the top prep soccer programsi n Nevada, Miura also has extensive club experience. A Scholar Athlete award winner, Miura is in the player pool for the Philippine Women's National Team.

The Lopers went 5-12-1 (3-7-1) this past season, finishing 10th in the MIAA. UNK will begin spring workouts in March 2019.
