Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's soccer team finishes a four-game road swing when it travels to Northwest Missouri State and Missouri Western State this weekend.

The Lopers (1-6-3, 0-2-1) will face Northwest (3-6-1, 1-2-0) on Friday and then Mo West (4-5-1, 1-2-0) on Sunday. Check the soccer schedule page for kickoff times and media links.

In the early going part of the conference slate, UNK has one conference point to date. Emporia State has won its first three games to be at nine points with six schools between four and seven points. These points determine the eight teams that make the MIAA Tournament in November.

Northwest is 1-2-0 in Maryville this fall and is coming off a 4-0 setback at Emporia on Sunday. The Lopers are 3-2-2 all-time vs. the Bearcats, taking last year's game by a 1-0 score. UNK had a 9-5 shot advantage with Norfolk senior Maddie Love tallying the game winner in the 59th minute.

The MWSU Griffs, hosting Fort Hays State (6-3-0, 2-1-0) on Friday, are 3-2-1 in St. Joe so far in 2019. They got by Washburn, 2-1 in OT, on Sunday to stop a three-game losing streak.

UNK is 2-5-0 vs. the Black & Gold, dropping last year's game by a 2-1 margin. South Dakota junior Kassidy Kirsch tallied a goal in the 33rd minute but Mo West countered with the equalizer nine minutes later and then the game winner soon after halftime.

Kearney senior keeper Allie Prososki starts the weekend second in the MIAA in both save percentage (.900) and goals against average (.590; five  in 825 minutes). Finally, Love (13) and Omaha senior Megan Merkel (23) have combined for 40% of the UNK's shots to date.

The Lopers host Missouri Southern State and No. 5 Central Missouri next weekend at Cope Stadium.
