Kearney, Neb. - The Nebraska-Kearney softball team's scheduled trip to the annual Alvy Early Memorial Classic in Bentonville, Ark., has been canceled due to expected inclement weather in the area. 

The Lopers (0-4) were set to play six games between Friday-Sunday in an event hosted by Arkansas-Monticello.

UNK will still go to Arkansas this weekend but now heads further down the road to Conway, home of Division I Central Arkansas, to play two games Saturday (vs. Central Missouri & Rogers State, Okla.) and two more Sunday (vs. Wisconsin-Parkside & Washburn). The Saturday games and the battle vs. WU will take place at the Field House Complex in Conway; the second game on Sunday vs. Parkside will be 45 minutes up the road at Arkansas Tech in Russellville. They are the "host" school for the weekend. 

Weather permitting, the Lopers head to Emporia State next weekend for another multi-day tournament.
