Kearney, Neb. – It took a few weeks but weather has finally effected the Nebraska-Kearney softball schedule.
 
The Lopers weekend slate at Northeastern State and Rogers State in Oklahoma has been moved up a full day to get ahead of potential thunderstorms.
 
UNK (13-11, 3-1)) now faces the NSU RiverHawks (12-8, 2-2) on Thursday starting at 1 p.m. and then travels down the road to play the No. 17 RSU Hillcats (19-8, 2-2) on Friday. That double header is scheduled for a noon start but weather could change first pitch times on either day.
 
Kearney is supposed to be off next weekend before heading to Missouri Southern State and Pittsburg State.
