Kearney, Neb. – Five members of the Nebraska-Kearney women's soccer team have been named honorable mention All-MIAA.

The league's 12 head coaches voted on the makeup of the 2021 all-conference team. They cannot vote for their own players.

Tabbed this fall were Omaha senior midfielder Kylee Moore, California senior forward Perla Navarro, Kansas redshirt sophomore defender Lily Engeman, Kansas redshirt freshman keeper Emery Mounce and Colorado true freshman defender Dolcie Hanlon. Moore earned 2021 All-MIAA Spring honors; this is the first recognition for the rest.

Moore worked around some injuries to appear in 15 games with 13 starts. She logged 974 minutes and scored one of UNK's nine goals. In her four-year career (minus the non-countable 2021 spring season) the Omaha Burke graduate played in 51 games with 35 starts. Next, Navarro was one of eight Lopers to appear in all 18 games this fall. She led UNK in shots (24) while having a goal and assist. Finally, the two-year Loper played 1,131 minutes, fifth most on the team.

Engeman and Hanlon anchored the defense and joined Bellevue senior Megan Cook as Lopers to have started all 18 games. Hanlon played 1,638 of a possible 1,640 minutes with Engeman at 1,635 minutes and often the Loper taking the team's free kicks. Mounce, working around two different injuries, saw action in 12 games and racked up the second most saves (94) in school history. She had one shut out and averaged nearly eight saves an appearance.

Central Missouri and Central Oklahoma dominated the postseason awards. UCM had the Player (Kassie Newsom), Freshman (Caroline Cole), Co-Keeper (Lindsey Johnson) and Co-Coach (Lewis Theobald) of the Year with UCO picking up the Defensive (Taryn Kedzior) and Co-Keeper (Kaitlyn Asher) of the Year. Finally, Marc Gordon of Northwest Missouri was Co-Coach of the Year.

The 2022 spring season for the Lopers begins in March with the schedule TBA.
