UNK had a 94% red zone success rate, ran for 34 touchdowns, allowed just 20 sacks and went over 30 points seven times. Davis is the first UNK signal caller to make this squad since Jake Spitzlberger in 2011 with Hoelck the first Loper right tackle tabbed since Orion Matthies in 2010.

Leading the UNK defense was Swanson who at a breakout year as the starting strong safety. He led the team in tackles (98) and interceptions (four for 19 yards) while ranking second in pass breakups (seven) and tying for third in tackles for loss (5.0). He had four games with a double digit tackle total including 12 at both Northwest Missouri and Angelo State. Swanson is the first Loper safety tabbed All-Region since Sam Kuck in 2010.

UNK had a banner 2021 season, going 10-3, reaching the second round of the NCAA Playoffs and being nationally-ranked for the first time in a decade. This team joined the 2009 (11-2) and 2011 (10-2) Loper outfits as the only football teams to win 10 games in a season.
