Men Add Game on Dec. 14

12/9/2021 1:53:00 PM

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney men's basketball team will host the Sterling College Warriors on Dec. 14 (Tuesday).

The game will tip off at 7 p.m. and replaces the Colorado School of Mines home game (Nov. 20) that was canceled. Mines couldn't make a UNK-Fort Hays State road trip that week due to COVID protocols within their program; a makeup date wasn't possible so the Orediggers will return to the Health & Sports Center next season.

The NAIA Warriors hail from Sterling, Kan., and are a member of the KCAC (Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conf.). They are 2-12 heading into a Monday night game at Friends University in Wichita. The Lopers (3-5) and SC have never met in men's basketball.

This will start a three-game home stand for UNK as Newman (Fri.) and Central Oklahoma (Sun.) come to town later in the week.
