Lopers Slate Changes

2/16/2021 12:46:00 PM

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney softball team has seen its schedule change due to the recent winter weather in the area.

UNK (1-3), which saw a four-game tournament in Oklahoma called off last weekend (Feb. 12-13), has added two games at Regis on Friday. The Lopers and Rangers will play a double header in Denver starting at 12 p.m. Central. Regis has yet to play this year; the two teams haven't met on the diamond since UNK was a member of the RMAC back in the spring of 2011.

Next, the Central Oklahoma/Oklahoma Christian Invitational has been pushed back. Based on weather and field conditions in Edmond and Bethany the tourney will hopefully be played Sunday through Tuesday instead of the original Thursday through Saturday format. UNK is slated to face Colorado Christian (0-0) and Southern Nazarene (0-4) on Monday at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Games vs. Cameron (3-1) and Oklahoma Baptist (0-0) are set for Sunday at similar times. Note snow in the Oklahoma area could change plans further.

The Lopers remain on the road next weekend as they head to Springfield, Mo., for the Drury Invitational.
