Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney softball team has seen its weekend schedule moved up due to rain and thunderstorms in the forecast.

UNK (8-4), riding a six-game winning streak, was set to start MIAA play this weekend with double headers at Lincoln and Central Missouri. With rain scheduled to fall in that area starting Thursday those four games have been moved up to Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Lopers and Blue Tigers (2-7-1) will now meet Tuesday at 1 and 3 p.m. with UNK then heading down the road on Wednesday to face the Jennies (6-2) at 12 and 2 p.m.
 
After this Missouri trip, UNK's next MIAA double header comes March 26 at Emporia State; the Lopers will likely add some non-conference games between now and then.
