Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's soccer team is picked 12th in the 2021 MIAA preseason poll.

Head coaches vote on the makeup of the poll and cannot vote for their own squad.

Defending league champion Central Oklahoma (116; eight first place) is first with Emporia State (110; three first place) a close second. Longtime national power Central Missouri is third (104; one first place) with Northeastern State fourth. In the national preseason Top 25, UCO is 10th and Missouri Western State 23rd. The MWSU Griffons are sixth in the MIAA poll.

The Lopers, about to begin year 13 as a program, have three home scrimmages over the next couple of weeks; Concordia (Aug. 21/5 p.m.), Hastings (Aug. 24/7 p.m.) and Gretna Elite Academy (Aug. 28/2 p.m.). The regular season opener comes in Aberdeen, S.D, on Sept. 2 (Minnesota State-Moorhead).
