2022 RMAC Championships Start Wednesday

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney women's swimming and diving team heads to Colorado this week for the 2022 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Championships.

The grueling four-day meet is hosted once again by Colorado Mesa at the El Pomar Natatorium in Grand Junction (elevation 4,583 feet). Action runs from Wednesday-Saturday with activity each day starting at 10 a.m. Central (swimming prelims), 1 p.m. Central (diving prelims) and 6 p.m. Central (swim/dive finals).

Visit the meet web page for the complete schedule, ticket prices, live video and live result links. With the meet being held at elevation, conversions will take place in most swimming events.

The host CMU Mavericks have won the last three men's and women's titles. The other women's teams taking part are Adams State, Colorado Mines, Colorado State-Pueblo, Oklahoma Christian, and Western Colorado. Besides Mesa, the other men's squads come from Adams, Mines and OCU.

UNK annually sets several school records at this meet as well as having many Top 10 all-time school times. The Aqualopers haven't completed since the week before Thanksgiving but did visit Colorado for a training trip in early January. Last February, UNK tallied 147 points to finish seventh at this meet.
