Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney swept Minnesota State, 7-0, Sunday morning in Marshall, Minn.

This was opening weekend for the Lopers who beat Southwest Minnesota State and Minnesota State-Moorhead on Saturday.

UNK allowed only three combined points in doubles with Alexis Bernthal (Boulder, Colo.) and Clare Plachy (Lincoln Pius X) winning 6-0 at the three spot. Things were a little tougher in singles as Melisa Becerra (Colombia) won 6-3, 6-4 at number one and Narindra Ranaivo (Madagascar) won at three by a 6-1, 6-7, 1-0 (-6) score. Finally, Plachy won 6-0, 6-0 at number six.

The Lopers head to Des Moines next weekend for the Drake Invite.
