Held Formally Introduced as the 19th Head Football Coach in UNK History

Kearney, Neb. - Nebraska Kearney formally introduced Ryan Held as the 19th head football in school history today (Jan. 3) with a press conference in the Health & Sports Center.

Held was named the Lopers head coach on Dec. 20 and replaces Josh Lynn. Held's staff will be announced in the coming days and will include six full-time assistants and two graduate assistants.

UNK Athletic Director Marc Bauer opened the press conference with some remarks with Held speaking for around five minutes and then taking questions from media in attendance. He then had multiple one-on-one sessions with the media and attended a lunch with community and Loper Backer members. Finally, Held's day began by meeting with 30 current players who are currently going through voluntary winter workouts. This year spring semester at UNK begins Jan. 23.
