Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney women's swimming and diving team beat Iowa Central C.C. and fell to Grinnell (Ia.) College at the Grinnell Triangular Saturday in Iowa.

The Lopers easily out scored ICCC, 205-45, while the host Pioneers got past the Aqualopers by a 232-64 margin. GC also beat the Tritons with men's teams from Grinnell and Iowa Central competing as well.

UNK had 17 top five finishes with true freshman Kayla Milligan (Valley, Kan.) leading the way. She led the team and finished third in the 100 (1:01.75) and 200 (2:26.47) butterfly and the 200-individual medley (2:30.42). Next, Milligan was the third leg for the third place 200 medley relay team (1:56.46).

That foursome also featured anchor and senior Makayla Seal (Midwest City, Okla.) and junior lead Maggie Waddington (Norfolk). Seal also was third in the 50 free (26.35) with Waddington third in the 200 free (2:05.87) and fourth in the 100-backstroke (1:07.87). The pair also helped the 400-free relay team finish runner up in a time of 3:52.02. Finally, freshman Madison Medo (Kearney) was the third leg for that relay squad and finished in the top six in three different individual events.

UNK heads to Gunnison, Colo., next weekend for the Western Colorado quadrangular. Besides the Mountaineers, Adams State and Colorado State-Pueblo will be in attendance.
