MIAA Coaches Poll Released

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association announced its preseason coaches poll for the 2024-25 wrestling season. Division II's back-to-back defending national champion Central Oklahoma was voted the unanimous favorite by MIAA head coaches.

Central Oklahoma collected 25 points and received the first-place selection from all their league opponents. The two-time defending national champions captured the program's ninth NCAA Division II team title at the 2024 national championships in Park City, Kan.  Nebraska Kearney was picked second in the preseason poll with 21 points. The Lopers placed third at the 2024 NCAA Division II Wrestling National Championships.

With the Bronchos and Lopers combined, the MIAA has claimed the Division II wrestling national title for the past three consecutive seasons – Central Oklahoma (2024), Central Oklahoma (2023) and Nebraska Kearney (2022).

Central Missouri was picked to finish third in the 2024-25 season with 16 points in the poll while Fort Hays State finished fourth with 13 points. Ouachita and Newman concluded the poll in fifth and sixth, respectfully.
