Two More Home Wins

Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska-Kearney men's tennis team breezed by NAIA members McPherson College, Kan., 4-1, and Bethel College, Kan., 5-0, Saturday at the Ernest Grundy Tennis Center.

In the morning against the 17th-ranked MC Bulldogs, UNK won at one and two doubles and then had straight set wins between four and six singles. Both Adam Palecek (Czechia) and Aaron Osmond (Cheltenham, U.K.) had 7-5 wins in their second sets. Against the Threshers, regionally-ranked Tom van den Dungen (The Netherlands) and Osmond won 6-2 at one doubles with Andy Brisdon (Manchester, U.K.) and Jakub Strzelecki (Poland) recording a 6-3 decision at two. Finally, Palecek and Osmond both had 6-0, 6-0 singles wins.

The Lopers (6-2) are now off until a March 2nd MIAA dual at Augustana.
