Kearney, Neb. – The Nebraska Kearney soccer team has had four players named to the 2025 All-MIAA squad

The league's 13 head coaches vote on the makeup of the team and cannot vote for their own players.

Graduate defender Keila Gillispie (Newton, Kan.), senior midfielder Mia Lang (Papillion La Vista South), junior keeper Susie Bovaird (Lincoln East) and junior defender Madison Province (Kearney H.S.) each were tabbed honorable mention All-MIAA. Gillispie and Lang are repeat h.m. all-league picks with this being the first honors for both Bovaird and Province.

The Lopers once again had one of the top defenses in the league, allowing only 23 goals over 17 games. UNK tied both league champ Pittsburg State and nationally-ranked Central Missouri, allowing just one combined goal in those games. Overall, the defense had five shutouts and held six others to a lone goal.

Gillispie, in her second year as a Loper after playing at Kansas State, appeared in all 17 games and logged a team-high 1,499 minutes with Province at 14 games and 10 starts. Working around some injuries, this was her first year at UNK after starring at Northeast C.C. Finally, Lang played in all 17 games, recording 12 shots and a goal.

Pitt State had the Offensive Player (Carrie Cunningham) and Coach (Wes Branstetter) of the Year with Washburn picking up the Defensive Player (Belle Kennedy) and Freshman (Leah Henke) of the Year. Finally, Calais Butts of Rogers is the Goalkeeper of the Year.

UNK finished 10th in the MIAA standings this fall as they posted a 3-9-5 (1-6-5) record. The spring season begins in March.
