The multi-day, in-person program in Indianapolis (Feb. 18-20) allows participants to take part in interactive leadership and professional development sessions, engage in small-group discussions and peer learning with coaches from across the country, explore real-world scenarios related to program management, communication and leadership, and collaborate with NCAA and NFL representatives on best practices and career development topics.

This application process began in Sept. 2025 with participants notified of their selection this month (Dec.). McCoy is UNK's Recruiting Coordinator and Linebacker coach and recently completed his first fall with the program. Coming aboard early in 2025, he coaches All-MIAA pick Parker Wise (Kearney H.S.) and is part of one of the best defensive staff in the MIAA. The Lopers allowed just 22.6 points and 325.5 yards per game in 2025 while forcing 25 turnovers.

McCoy came to UNK from NAIA Madonna (Mich.) University and has also coached at NAIA McPherson (Kan.) College, three junior colleges and at his alma mater, Division II Southwestern Oklahoma State.
